About the event
Offline Art Contest Rules and Regulations
We will have paneled judges to grade the art pieces.
Registeration Fee is 200 INR per head.
Theme and parameters of judging:
1.Theme
a. 6-9 years - Your favorite superhero
b. 10-13 years – Landscape
c. 14-17 years – City life
d. 18 + years – Famous works of art
2. Judging
a. How well the colors are used, e.g the temperature, depth, tone etc and how well they complement each other.
b. The drawing itself in terms of length, angle, curvature etc must be perfect, e.g: if you draw a bottle, it should look like a bottle with correct proportion.
c. All the elements in the artwork must complement each other. It should look cohesive as one picture. No element should look out of place.
d. If it is a landscape, all elements like trees, mountains, flowers etc must blend together to form a good picture.
e. We will have paneled judges to grade the art pieces.
f. There will be 3 winners and 2 consolation prizes(certificates only) in each category.
In each category, only 5 artworks will be selected and winners chosen.
Logistics
1. Be present at the venue at least 30 min before the start of the contest to facilitate the seating arrangement and distribution of art paper.
2. The duration is 1hour 30 min. Time will be strictly adhered to. Participant will be disqualified if they exceed the time limit.
3. If you come late, no extension of time will be provided.
4. Write your name on the side of the sheet where you will NOT draw.
5. Based on the selection of the color medium, we will distribute the art paper. For e.g, watercolor will require a different textured paper and with a different GSM. The paper will be A4 size.
6. Please bring your exam pads or writing pads to fix the paper.
7. Do not forget to bring your scale, eraser, pencil, brushes etc
8. For watercolors, we will provide you with small paper cups and water.
9. But in case, the paper needs to be stretched or fixed on the board, please bring your own masking tape.
10. Paper will be around 150 GSM for oil pastels, pencil colors and crayons.
11. For watercolors / poster colors and acrylic, paper will be 180-190 GSM.
12. For blotting, please do not forget to bring rags or tissues.
Please note: Decision of the judges will be final and not subject to review or appeal.
